Who is The Wayward Son ?
My name is John and I am the Wayward Son. This name reflects my journey and the experiences in my life. My goal is to draw upon my varied training and experience to create a "one-stop shop" for all things related to firearms ,knives, self defense, prepping. customization ,tactics, etc.
I am a former U.S. Marine Corps MP (Military Police) and Close Combat Instructor; former Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer ,and Federal Police Officer having graduated from 4 Law Enforcement Training Academies; former SWAT officer, Glock factory certified Armorer, trained gunsmith ,U.S. Air Force Combat Arms Instructor (civilian), ASP Tactical Baton instructor, ASP Tactical Handcuffing Instructor, Police Academy Instructor, and certified Firearms Instructor. My goal is to provide video content (You Tube and others) that offers firearm and gear reviews, showcasing my personal custom weapons,2A issues ,training ,unboxing subscription boxes, and prepping among other things; provide practical firearms and self defense training classes ,provide quality gun customization/building, provide self defense training, and conduct physical security checks and training. I have a lot of exciting plans for the near future . We will roll them out incrementally as time and resources allows. I hope to be able to help my fellow patriots by equipping them with tools that they may lack and/or further honing skills that they already possess. I strive to do this while remaining a student myself.
